Currently in Melbourne — December 8th, 2022
Full moon behind full clouds.

The weather, currently.

Cloudy with a chance of morning showers.

Today welcomes the last full moon of this calendar year, which we may not see with all this persistent cloud cover. Today will be cloudy with a medium chance of showers in the morning. Winds gusts will be south-westerly from 25 to 40 km/h. There’s a gale warning for the Central, Central Gippsland and East Gippsland Coasts and a strong wind warning for the Port Phillip, Western Port Bays as well as the Gippsland Lakes and East Gippsland Coast.

The low of 10˚C will climb to the maximum of 16˚C by mid-afternoon. The UV rating is very high at 10. And now that things have had a chance to dry out, there is a moderate fire danger rating in place too.

We are ramping up efforts to finish building Project Mushroom ASAP — a safe platform to promote connection, mutual aid, and transformative action at a critical moment in history.

As a supporter of Currently we are inviting you to be one of the first to join Project Mushroom today — A platform is only as good as the people in it, right?

You can get a Project Mushroom account by following this link. Best practice is to use the same username you had on Twitter to help people find you. If you get stuck, check out our On-Boarding Instructions and our Support Page below, or email us: info@tryprojectmushroom.com

Our Twitter-to-Project Mushroom migration assistant is live now! https://start.projectmushroom.social/

This tool is a work in progress, so please bear with us. It will only work if you first register for Project Mushroom and select your username using the steps above. If you see any funky bugs, email info@tryprojectmushroom.com

From the very beginning, we've promised Project Mushroom to be a safe place on the internet — and this tool is designed for you to share this space with your most trusted allies, friends, and colleagues that you want to change the world with. We are the only Twitter alternative (as far as I know) that has a team of paid moderators — and a commitment to racial, social, and climate justice. Our goal is to make migrating your entire social network from Twitter as easy, safe, and enjoyable as possible.
