The weather, currently.
While areas of Melbourne are still drying out after the flooding rains of the last few days, most of metropolitan Melbourne will experience a pleasantly dry and partly cloudy day today with a top of 17°C. The UV rating of 7 means cover up when you enjoy today’s longed-for sunshine. Last night’s overnight low of 5°C had me reaching for the hot water bottle that I had hoped would be out of season by now. It isn’t, it seems. And I’m hanging onto it because although the light afternoon winds tending southerly at 15 to 20 km/h in the late afternoon will decrease by the evening, Monday night will be a chilly one too.

Currently's Managing Editor, Zaria Howell, has a piece up about the controversial climate protest at London's National Gallery:
"Activists said the cans of tomato soup were a symbol of the country’s working class — the demonstration highlighting the way society has systematically chosen to prioritize profit over people and the preservation of the environment.
But such an unorthodox demonstration poses an important question: is this effective?"
